Bull's eye! It is naive to think that any of these large publically traded companies value anything other than profits. As a matter of fact, I believe it is illegal for them to do so, not considering fiduciary responsibility leading to lost profits and therefore typically share value can get the big dogs of the company sued by the shareholders.

Yes they only value profits. Which is why a boycott is a good tool to use if a company does something you dont agree with.

You can use an alternate payment method . This is still a great deal without 5% target card discount.
