Wow, I have no idea people are still buying discs.
Streaming is convenient, but their are two major downsides. First, the audio and video quality is noticeably poorer when compared to a Blu-Ray disc, especially if you have a TV with great picture quality and a decent 5.1 home theater setup. Everyone can instantly see and hear the difference when I stream Dune and then pop in the Blu-Ray. The other downside is, movies get pulled from streaming services.
I have actually started buying disc's again. This whole you don't own it era is getting out of hand. Recently I wanted to watch moneyball and it wasnt on any of the streaming services i pay for. I went to our local record exchange and bought a used Blu-ray 4 2.50. Now its mine. I go once a week now picking up a few physical movies and cds Next will start ripping them to a nas and making my own digital library.
