Can I get a port in # on eBay? Any other way?
Can this be flashed with non TM firmware.
Only reason to buy this is for the eSim.
I prefer z flip though. Any deals on Z Flip?

To unlock the phone it will be an extra 330$ by minimum for the remaining 11 months so it is actually 505$ in total for an unlocked device after one year.
No one has reported that Metro devices are getting unlocked automatically after one year even without a continuous service and I will not trust Metro or any T-Mobile brand because they can change their unlock policy whenever they want without any questions or limits from the FCC or the government.

You are correct that the unlock is not tied to continuous service. Phone only needs to be activated, which is done with the first month of service that is paid for with this deal, to start the unlock timer.
If you would like to continue to use the device on metro after the first month but before it unlocks you can do so on the much cheaper bring your own device plan $25/month. Follow these steps:
-Log in to your metro account on your phones mobile browser. Avoid the app as it can be hit/miss on if the option shows up.
-Select 'switch device' then follow the steps to move your service/number from this deal to a new device. Then just allow line to expire after 1st month.
-When you complete the 'switch device' process this unties the S24 FE IMEI from any metro account and allows it to qualify immediately for the Bring Your Own Device plan or to be used with an existing Metro account.
Relax, we are both customers. It is good that your a35 and Moto edge were unlocked at 6 months but remember these device like the galaxy A35 were released in March 2024 while Metro "announced" their unlock policy changes in late May 2024.
You probably purchased your phones a month or two after their announcement and most probably got a phone that they had in stock before the policy changes.
Now let's go back to the Galaxy s24 FE which was released in September last year, this one will definitely have the new policy that is on Metro's website.
Unless you have some inside information from Metro then your case can't definitely say this device will unlock without service in 6 months.
By the way I did purchase a Galaxy A35 in December and left Metro after realizing they changed their policies. If it unlocks in June I will be so happy to report it here and let other slickdealers know.

Here we go again. New low price for an excellent phone. Officially unlocks in one year but multiple recent reports of android and iPhones purchased 6 months ago have already unlocked.
