A number of stores nationwide are closing out the Peloton Bike+ for $999.97. Check inventory through the app for your local store (don't order online). This is a great price, I don't think they've ever been this low.

This is not the regular bike - it includes the upgraded screen/speakers, swivel screen and auto-follow for resistance. The output power is also much more accurate as it has a built-in power meter.

For access to the streaming content. You can use it and just pedal without, but it defeats the purpose.

You can definitely get by with the App One Membership for $12.99 per month instead of paying the $44. We bought a lightly used Peloton Gen 3 for cheap back in 2021, signed up for the app and displayed it on a TV in our workout room. Worked out great and my wife had access to a bunch of Yoga and stretching routines.

They narrowly avoided bankruptcy in 2024 but are definitely on the ropes. The COVID boom for them is long gone. I wouldn't invest in their equipment at this point, there are less expensive options out there.
