I don't think this will break any rules as I just read the SD rule policy. If it does mods please delete.

You can give yourself a referral code. I just did it. Create another samsung account with a different email addy. Sign up for the referral program and get your specific referral code and use it on you edu account. You're welcome 😊

I'm not sure if I should wait for better discount w S22U trade in. I can use the $100 credit towards buds pro and sell it online. Sell S22U for $250. Total will come out to about $850 - $100 - $250 = $500

I usually upgrade phone when they are about $300 w trade in.

The seasonal sales haven't been good for years. At least not the advertised deals. They'll have adhoc sales at random time which are always better. However even those have been paltry lately. Either way, definitely no rush buying it for $850... It's a fine price, but not a rush gotta buy now price.

was able to get it down to as low as 707.49 with 300 off no trade/early access+edu/epp+referral+first time shop app discount. wasn't too keen on the accessories offered for the samsung credit so added discounted buds3pro for 735.73 before tax.

edit: monday 3/3 can get the combo with same promos stacked for about 20 dollars less down to 715.21 with higher spring sale promotional discounts
