Not quite. You get Mic / Speaker voice commands, Dive rated with sealed buttons, sensor guard and a new interface with F8. Both have Gen 5 HR sensors, and are very similar. Fenix 8 is $400ish more though
- Mic/speaker is of limited use
- Mixed reviews on voice assistant and way behind Siri/Alexa/Google
- New interface is purely preferential
- Dive rating (General consensus is if you're a serious diver, you're not going to trust your life to a non-professional dive watch)
In either case, we're likely agreeing. My point is you get 99% of the daily features in the Epix 2 51mm.

I pretty much agree
great physiological metrics too for tracking workouts.
i wonder what will be in the garmin fenix 8 pro, or garmin fenix 9
Do you want Amoled or Mip (Solar). Mip gives amazing battery life, but Amoled is amazing, pretty much like your smart phone screen. Pretty much the same watch other than the screen. I still would go with Enduro over Fenix x in this size. You get way better battery life and 120% better solar with the Enduro, and a new improved clearer lens and most up to date sensors software(almost same as the Fenix 8 solar). Can be found gently used for around same price, but brand new is $839 on Amazon

No offense, but I have never understood the people that say they are so glad they don't have to charge their battery on a regular basis. With these Garmin watches, you can get a few days worth of battery life by charging it for 20 minutes while you're in the shower.

1 reason, the plug on the cable is the weak point and will cost you $24ish in about 6 months to replace. The less you plug it in the better. Plus, I hate taking the time to charge. That is why my 3 other watches are Citizen Echo drives. I never charge them, even after 5 years.
