Not quite sure tbh. Im not familiar with the sound of a coax studio monitor. Im used to the tweeter being separate from the woofer

I don't know about each. But coax is supposed to have a bigger sweet spot for mixing, which I think means your listening position can vary more, from what I read. Keep in mind that $99 was a price mistake on those, and it got cancelled. It's $299 per speaker. This is quite a good deal. KRK have been around for quite a while and are probably decent, especially if you're a hobbyist or just starting out. I'll let someone with exprience with this model weigh in though.

These are pretty much the standard introductory monitors. Best price I've ever seen

Cant go wrong type of deal. Just know that they sell individually (so gotta get 2 if you want a pair)

These are excellent monitors. I will note, I owned a pair for 5 years and the amp in one of them just died one day. They wanted more than the cost of a new monitor to repair and would not offer any part under warranty. The official warranty is just 1 year. I was pretty disappointed to learn that these are essentially throw away once they break, they feel more like a buy it for life purchase.
