My only complaint is that when they go low battery, they alert. Loudly. I've been woken up in the middle of the night by these a couple of times.

Have had these for about a year. Notified me of a leak twice that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. Really small price to pay for peace of mind.

I just installed 6 of these and a hub in my new house last week. Super simple and tested them with some water and worked great. Really good piece of mind for a small amount of $. In for 3 more for my mechanical room and under toilets.

Anyone know if these will work with Gen 1 sensor gateway? I have 10 of these originals with the gen 1 gateway.

You put them literally anywhere you can have water leaks: underneath all sinks, behind toilets, water tanks, behind fridge, under dishwasher, under jacuzzi. I actually put two inside the back of my old fridge so I would be informed whenever there was a leak from the freezer. It tells me that it's time to defrost the freezer again.

I am new to these water leak sensors, so have a couple of questions:

1. Do I need to get the WiFi Gateway, or just the sensors will work?
2. How does the notifications work? Does it work with Alexa?
3. Does it send notifications via text? I use prepaid service and change my service but port my number.

Thanks.

I'm surprised you only have 6 in a house. That makes no sense when you count: sinks, toilets, water tanks, fridge, dishwasher, bathtub/jacuzzi, etc... What smart water shutoff valve are you using?
Only bought 6 initially as it was the best deal and wanted to see how I liked them. Adding more now that I've used the app and like the product.

Ah I see thanks. New home owner here. Just bought the hub + 9 sensors. What are of the water heater would you recommend putting one?

No they don't work with the v1 hub. These are LoRa- very long range- they work over 1/4 mile.

These are great. Have them all over my house including multiple in my attic for furnaces and water heater. No issue whatsoever with range. Have alerted me of a leak under two toilets and also furnace pan. Easily worth the cost.

Yes I have one in the water heater pan. Also in furnace pans to alert if condensation line is ever clogged.
