I'm a pro photographer.

I have not used Posterninja but in my area the CVS Repositionable posters are by far the best quality of what CVS offers. These are my favorite deals as the print is high quality and close to Matte. (the back of the photo looks like thin glossy white acetate (note many stores load the wrong paper, so check before you pay).

I was at a gallery opening a week ago where we had our prints done at a very high end and expensive place. I brought one of these 16x20 to give to someone and had some comments on how nice it looked. Yes, the more than 10x the cost paper print of the same size looked better, but this $5 print held up well enough for other photographers to ask about it.

Anybody know the quality? I'm seeing posterninja with similar prices when I'm comparing 24x36 as an example. I hear bad things about cvs prints and good things about posterninja, but idk how they directly compare

I agree that these things are awesome. You could frame one and never use the sticky bit. I have two giant ones and half a dozen of the size larger than this. A watercolor Smokies AI painting I made is hanging over my desk right now.

Yeah, I've never removed the back. I just frame them. The only tricky part is leaving a white border as some "techs" will accidently cut those off when the actual size you wanted for the 16x20 frame was to leave them intact. I've had more than one reprint over the years because of this. Frequently depends on who is running it, some employees know what I'm doing and leave the raw edges and I just cut it in store while they watch.

I love these and was waiting for a sale.
In our last home I had one 16x20 stuck to the wall above my baby's changing table. She can look and touch, and can't knock it off the wall

I had another 24x36 bought in a similar sale, that I hand cut the outline of my image, so it looked like it was popping off the wall. I wouldn't have the same effect any other way.

Unfortunately when we moved, I didn't know how to pack them after removing from the wall. I stuck the sticky side onto saran wrap, but that was a mistake. I couldn't unpeel it at the new house. Maybe parchment paper instead? Or stick them to a 16x20 framed glass?

That said, I'd never pay full price for these. They've spoiled me with these sales.

Their birthday and other designs are intriguing at this price. About the same as a Hallmark card and make a much bigger impact.

Bought 5 of these during the last sale. I keep the backing on and just frame them like someone else mentioned.

Absolutely incredible quality. I cannot tell the difference from a regular matte photo and they look beautiful. I was extremely happy with the set.

Thank you OP. Ordered 4 photos of my late father and grandmother to give it away to my aunties and uncles. They will be thrilled.

I love these repositionable posters from CVS. Have a bunch at home and made 8 of them for my father's room at the nursing home. Although he can't see them well (nearly blind), they make great conversation starters for staff and visitors. FYI, I saved the plastic backing for when I need to move them in the future.

Camera body really doesn't matter, and even lower grade lenses can produce great images with good light. I have images that were made with a $100 lens and $400 camera body printed in 24x36 size in a gallery and I've seen images taken with a $150 camera that beat out things I've produced with a $10K setup.

That said, my current most used Combo is Sony A7iV with a Tamron 35-150 2.0-2.8 it provides prime level image quality across the range and it means I don't have to take it off constantly with my shoots.

I have at least 10 digital camera bodies and 40 lenses (various different systems and mounts) plus studio strobes, constant lights, quite a few different modifiers, battery powered strobes, as well as quite a few flashes. I also have film bodies but they are rarely used, though I may start scanning with my Epson V850 again.

Light is what matters, and the creativity to capture it well.

What are some frames you would recommend? I see ikea has some 16x20 frames. Any good for this?

Thanks for providing such helpful and detailed information. It's not your regular post of, it's good, it's great…but so much detail. One of the reasons we all use SD is because of posts like this. Thanks so much!
