I was looking at this last month. They just came out with a Hercules version. That looks like the same specs. This one was $10 more than the Hercules iirc at $160. Crazy good deal.

the 40 grit coarse drum would definitely chew through anything like wood.
The 240 grid seems soft, it may be handy where the 4" drum would get in areas smaller than a 5 or 6" orbital disk is a good fit?
Also a factor: the overall item is several times heftier and probably twice as long as a large orbital sander.
