Great price. The price changes weekly but it has been this price for a while.

Why would you spend money on an open box when you can just buy a brand new 48 OLED from LG instead? https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-4...Id=6584787 . LG is actually better than Samsung in term of OLED.

I've been checking every day for a while. This is the lowest I've seen and it just dropped to this price this morning. You might be thinking of the LG B4 48".

This is better than a LG B4. This is equivalent to an LG C4. Also, the B4 does not come in 42" size which a lot of people want for monitor usage.

No I'm talking about 42inch S90D. I've been watching the price of 42 inch S90D and C4 for a few months. This isn't the first time open-box excellent S90D dropped to this price.

People buy 42 inch OLEDs as desktop monitors. 48 inch is a little too big for desktop usage.

The B series LGs are indisputably worse than the D series Samsungs. In fact the C series LGs are also worse but pretty much the same quality. Your comment is weird and factually incorrect.

You are correct, but one note is that the 42" and 48" Samsung D series are WOLED and not QD-OLED like their larger sizes. So D series 55" and bigger is better than the LG C series, but the 42" and 48" D series are pretty much on the same level as a C series

thanks OP - great find. I have the 55" version of this tv and I'm very happy with it. I know this size is WOLED and not QD but still expecting a nice picture.

It's certainly not a settled topic that qd oled is better. Many of us have been waiting for some time for glossy woled monitors to become more common.

I've read that WOLED has much better burn in protection due to it being a more mature technology.

What happened to all the Samsung deals from their website? I used to find deals here all the time and now there's none. Was that website banned from post here or something?
