I've got two of these sitting in my office I'm testing before putting them into my sprinter. First time I discharged them the meter I have displaying battery capacity went from 100% for days to 75% then completely dead the following day. Not sure what that means. Maybe the battery meter I have isn't suitable for Lithium Iron Phosphate. It's supposed to work w lithium batteries so I don't know. I'm going to try something a little more expensive next.

I had a cheap Chinese lithium ion battery in my RV and it did the same thing. I never actually knew how much juice was left. I eventually switched to an Epoch.

Yes, you can connect anything within the voltage range to your solar input. It will charge kind of slowly. Typically 15A. So, that's about 200W.

If your meter is measuring the voltage and calculates the capacity based on that it would be normal behavior. Li batteries have a different discharge curve than lead batteries.

Get a Coulometer (something Iike this [amazon.com]) to accurately measure capacity of your batteries. Note that it is a process where you fully charge/discharge the battery to set a starting point, then measure. You can't connect a meter to a lithium battery and expect it to tell you remaining or claimed capacity.
