Pretty accurate. I love them both, some of my favorite movies (if you just take them for what they are), but the first is definitely better.

I've seen the first one at least 20 times throughout my life. No regrets. The 2nd one is entertaining enough, maybe worth a couple rewatches imo. The series on Disney+ tries to capture the spirit of the movies, but ends up feeling like AI wrote it.

I wished we got more of these films, either in this or Indiana Jones fashion. No overtime the top CG, just wholesome story telling with some historical (albeit not always accurate) background.

Yes, Marianne Wibberley co-wrote the National Treasure Disney+ series. Wibberley and her brother Cormac also co-wrote the first two National Treasure movies.
