ya, i'd love that too but these are pro tools, so likely corded is cheaper to make but also much more longer lasting

What makes this "professional"? Wondering if this would be an upgrade from my current clippers.

I don't know but I often wonder the same thing... I wish companies would take the time, maybe it's thicker steel, or thicker gauge on wires, or something else more reliable, better warranty, and so on... quantify it for us...

Depends what u have, but typically I would rate this brand at the bottom, which is crazy because they where top of the line 5-10 years ago

Personally I would go with the TPOB play trimmer but go with different blade for it or the babyliss gold fx.

Usually not, but would depend on the dog probably.

If you groom your dog, just get a good set of groomers, the money saved versus taking them somewhere to get groomed will be realized very quickly.

Would rather get Chinese branded cordless clippers or even the tpob branded clipper and trimmer set than this.

Only clipper I ever liked from Oster was the fast feed.

usually professional/commercial means that its serviceable and replacement parts are readily available which doesnt look like they are for this model. if your clippers work fine then i wouldnt replace them unless you're going for a something like the 76 where you can swap out blades.

i have the model 10 which is ok, gets hot and kinda bulky. its survived a few falls onto the tile floor. replacement parts are readily available

It's possible you just have to cut the cord, you'll have a cordless clipper!!!

Those are both trimmers though, what about for clippers?
