Very good deal on a franchise that unfortunately cease to exist with the closure of Monolith Games. Both are also Steam Deck Verified. I'm considering picking them up just so I can play them again portably.

Fun game I believe some of them have been giveaways before but decent price for about 40 hours of gameplay. The Nemesis system is interesting and the combat is satisfying.

Loved these games on xbox one. The action was insane. Pulled the trigger for my ROG ally maybe I can finish the games this time

Fantastic deal, especially since the Nemesis system is officially dead and buried. The games themselves are also pretty good. Recently beat SoW, and while the gameplay loop is fine, it's the sieges where the game really shines, especially in conjunction with the Nemesis system. Regardless of which side of the siege you're on, it's a fantastic time, and good enough that I wish it had it's own mode separate from the main game.
Another talented team of developers sacrificed so some pockets could have a few more dollars crammed into them. Tragic.

Was gonna ask if the price is discounted more if you already have one of the games. Guess not?

Shadow of War by itself is discounted 90%, and Shadow i
of Mordor is 80% off. Might still pick up War as I already own SoM

Except for the definitive edition of Shadow of War, these were all given away at some point to Amazon Prime members on GOG so double check you don't already own it on another platform.

Why does the Nemesis system being dead make it a better deal?

I agree though, fantastic game and tragic that there are no current gen sequals. Both of these games were pure satisfying fun with no modern day BS like micro transactions or political indoctrination.

Being dead in the sense that we'll never see the mechanic pop up in another game, I believe that makes it worth picking up but not a better deal. The Nemesis system is officially a piece of gaming history trapped in amber, doomed to rest until someone manages to wrestle that patent away from WB.

But just for info's sake, Shadow of War was actually filled with microtransactions, including p2w purchases, but gamers rallied until WB reluctantly backed down. It was heartwarming to see!

Oh yeah I do remember that.

Hopefully someone gets the IP from WB and makes a masterpiece one day. Even a revamp of the same games for modern hardware would be nice.

Both fun games, haven't played the first one in a long time but I remember it got a bit repetitive. Second game is a blast especially with the nemesis system.
