Ugg.. I hate having to try and make a deal out of these things.. This is like dealing with a rebate. Yeah, it will likely work, but what a PITA.

I'm about in the same boat - last time I ordered the fan with the battery. The fan was delivered to my house while the battery had to be delivered to a local HD. I tried to cancel the battery but the manager refused (over phone). So I just didn't pick up the darn battery. After a few weeks (maybe 2), it was returned and my money sent back to me credit card…. Not sure if this time will be the same

Went through the same thing a few weeks ago. Just ended up going to another location which took the return back with no issue. Not sure why some managers refuse. Once they do I just leave and don't even try to argue.

Very much interested in getting the 1/4 sheet sander. It's something I've been eying for awhile, My corded one sucks and needs to be replaced with something, and I'm deep in the 18v ecosystem, but wanted a deal on it... I don't need a jigsaw. I've got a corded one if I need to make those types of cuts.

Not sure if it's worth the hassle but you probably could sell the jigsaw on Craigslist, Facebook Market, eBay or to a contractor like me who's not ashamed to rep the bright green at work 😂 for at least $30 which will bring the cost down of the sander.

Yea they sell around $40 in my area. I'd rather get the brushless version though. It's a huge improvement as far as cutting speed.

Seems that I have to return the battery to a different HD store?

This is the ideal scenario as long as you don't need the extra money from the battery back right away. I always have to take the item back to a store myself because the website makes me order both items with the same delivery type. Either both in store pick up or both shipped to my home.

I get the battery setup for in store pick up at a different store from the tools. Then I pick up the tools and wait for the battery to cancel. Not sure if that was fixed, it worked about 3 months ago.
