Depends... for very long-term use (battery, software updates) the 16e as it's newer (A18 vs A16), 8gb ram vs 6gb, larger battery (less cycles). I like the camera in the 15 way better and the design is arguably better. If I got it for myself--15, better cameras. For my parents, 16e, they care about having a reliable phone for as long as possible. The ST deal is very good but I think they added tax so it's around $400 as well.

16e has more RAM
15 has an extra camera.

Those are gonna be the most noticeable differences.

Looks like this is $394 plus tax. Total cost.
