The dp3 has been as low as 1900. I think the increased capacity, power and ability to do 240v by itself is worth the price difference.

The DP3 at 1900 was a pricing mistake. I know because I'm the one who posted the deal and got an email from the store owner about the deal and EF asked them to remove it. So using the DP3 as a 1900 price point is not really appropriate.

well, they left the deal up for a few days, so if it was a "pricing mistake" it sure took long to correct. then ten days later, the same company had it again for $1999. so a good price on the delta pro 3 should be under $2000, and regular price $2300-$2500.

I'm just telling you what I received via message from the owner of the company.

Delta Pro 3 is commonly available in the $2000-2200 range: $500-550/kWh.

$475/kWh for the older Delta Pro is a little high.

I agree with you and I think the price of this now legacy unit is just kind of tone deaf when you consider all the other options there are especially those that provide 240v split phase. Ecoflow may be selling for this price but I'll be damned if I buy one for more than $1200.

The price-per-kWh metric really needs to stop. There are so many use cases for these units that cost based on the battery capacity is minuscule in comparison to the overall need. Value is measured in functionality, usage, and reliability. I still think the price for this unit is ridiculous but that has nothing to do with the projected cost per kwh. If you're concerned about monetary value in exchange for battery capacity then you're looking at the wrong type of system.

Even at $2000 which was what that company had it at days later, I would take that with its benefits over this older model at this price. Remember that the price difference is even slightly less once you take into account the tax credit for both units (more expensive unit equal more discount).
