Brandon Sanderson (Skyward series) is very good.
Expeditionary Forces
Bobiverse
He Who Fights with Monsters
Andy Serkis reading Lord of the Rings/Hobbit is great.
and I've been meaning to try The First Law (by Joe Ambercrombie)
First law series is all on sale, highly recommend
Gonna go against the grain here and NOT recommend Expeditionary Forces, only for the sole reason that it's very repetitive about 3 books in. I gave up around book 5 or 6, and based on some of the reviews of the later books in the series, I didn't seem to miss much.

But I'll vouch for the other recommendations that were made here, though.
Bobiverse if you're into sci-fi.
He Who Fights with Monsters if you're into LitRPG.
You can never go wrong with anything Brando Sando.

I was disappointed that series wasn't on sale. I just finished the first book. The retail price of the rest of the series is pretty high.
The trick for Dungeon Crawler Carl is to get a month of Kindle Unlimited. Once you add the Kindle version to your library, you can buy the audiobook for a very discounted price, like $2 for some if I remember correctly. When you leave KU you lose the ebook, but keep the purchased audiobook. If you've never done KU before you can get a free trial.

This also works for Bobiverse.

I don't have Audible so I'm a bit confused. Do I need to get a Premium Plus membership @ $14.95/month to... purchase these books on sale?

Expeditionary Force is hilarious, I've loved every book even though the formula is pretty much the same every book.

I would still recommend expeditionary force series; though with some caveats thrown in.

On the positive side - The author does a great job of keeping the thrill-factor consistently high. And the humor is pretty good. Every book had at least one laugh-out loud moment. The characters are good and if you are a fan of space operas, you'll definitely live this series.

On the negative side — The time investment for these series is huge! Each one is a relatively long book, and the series is already 18 books deep with a couple more to come. I do love the series, but I can't help but wish it were shorter. The series was supposed to end at book 16. But the author decided to continue the story for 3 or 4 more books. Series with that many books is not a problem for ones like the Reacher or Bosch series. Those books are only loosely connected and you can really pick up just any one and enjoy. You don't really have to read them all or even in order. But this series continues the story and you have to read them in order. At some point the volume of work becomes so daunting that it's uninviting to a new person.

I myself read till book 7 (including the novella) and then had to take a break. Will definitely finish the series. Have them all in my audible library, and the next book on pre-order. But I'll finish a few shorter series first between jumping back in. Or maybe wait till the series is truly over.

Big fan of the Bobiverse series, and this is a great price to pick them up at. Reminds me that I still need to listen to the last book.

You usually need some sort of Audible membership to purchase books at sale prices. You should be able to sign up for whatever trial they currently have running, buy the sale books you want, then quit (well, make sure you grab whatever else they offer you for free--I think the current trial includes two additional titles of your choice). Audible books are yours to keep forever*, even when you don't continue the membership. I've bounced in and out of Audible for years.

*Assuming Amazon doesn't suddenly decide you don't really own them**
** They are DRM protected, so you either need an Audible compatible player (the Audible app is pretty good) or you need an app that can remove the DRM.
