I received the package today. I got 6 AA with 1300 mAh & 2 AAA with 750 mAh.

Passed.

AA = 1300 mAh
AAA = 750 mAh

AAA capacity is fine. But AA capacity is too low.

realize this type of charger has 2 channel so will only charge 2 or 4 cells, they are charged in series which is not optimal. If you need just one battery charged you are SOL.

It's 2500 for the AA, 1300 FOR AAA
Description is confusing
Where are you seeing that info at? You can't see it on the woot page but if you go to the Amazon page and look at the picture of the item, I do now see the batteries are labeled on the package as AA 1300mah and AAA as 750mah. So that's probably what the previous user found that info.

The text is really weird on both woot and Amazon. Anybody have a link that actually confirms the mah for each battery type?

Ni-MH batteries have a voltage of 1.2V rather than 1.5V for alkaline. Some devices won't function on the lower voltage and the mAh of these can't be compared directly to alkaline.

Looks like some say 2500 and some say 1300, so there's a good chance you would get 1300

It shows 2500 mAH included.

Edit: Looks like some reviews show 2500 and some 1300, so you're taking a chance.

Check the actual photo from one of Amazon reviews: https://m.media-amazon.com/images...tJUgNL.jpg

Ebay sets are showing 1300 mah mostly, so seems likely now that's what you're getting.

So is this basically just a regular charger or does "ion speed" and 1000X faster actually mean anything?

Not exactly. Alkaline (before deep discharge) is more like 1.65. Nimh is closer to 1.4. When you reach 1.2 that nimh is at least 50% discharged. I've only ran into one device that didn't like nimh, but it was still ok before the nimh drained down.

Dang it. Now I'm paranoid about my charger.. Lol
It's not the end of the world, but it's a lot better to track them individually since different batteries have various capacity. I'd be more concerned with the rate of the charge. I have an Energizer charger I got with a kit and I just will not use that thing because the charging rate imho is way too high. I don't think anyone mentioned the charging rate…

Should I get this one or the $15 Energizer one from Costco. The Energizer only has 4 x AA @ 2300mah and 2 x AAA @ 800mah
Can you link that
