It's $10 less than the bare tool, so I'd say it's a good deal if you need it. The product page says, "Lifetime Service Agreement with registration within 90 days of purchase".

That's a pretty big error in the SD description to claim it is brushless.

All Ridgid batteries have lifetime warranty but you have to register them
