Not bad. Should be able to game at 1080p and 1440p at decent quality. It's obviously not high-end but should get the job done for most. Great system for a kid who wants to get into gaming on their parents budget.

I had a hard time updating the BIOS on these. It would say not enough memory. I was going to reinstall windows anyways so I was able to update it after that but when I tried to update the BIOS again it said the same thing. Something about the partitions.

I'm also used to using the Dell command update on Dells to do everything and thought HP improved in the last 10 years but they haven't by much.

Still a good deal for the hardware you get. There is a decent amount of parts available on ebay if you need them as well.

Funny I had the same thing happen on a hp laptop I ended up returning. Not enough memory when I had over 100 GB.

Yes Hard-drive space. It copies the BIOS to a certain small partition on the hard drive before installing it. It's referring to that. That's why when i deleted all the partitions then installed Windows I could then update the BIOS. But later when there was another BIOS update it said not enough memory again!

There were a lot of BIOS updates because of the Spectre mitigations. Dell released BIOS updates every few months or quarterly. I think there are only 2 per year now. My 8th gen Intel is still geting BIOS updates from Del hence my frustration with HP.
