Assuming we're not going to get $20 deal this year or deal with gift card. Might hold out for another week or two, but starting not too feel optimistic

After playing the H&R/Newegg pricing games for the past 3-4 years and waiting for a better deal to come this year, I finally gave up and went to FreeTaxUSA. Most likely will never go back to H&R.

FTUsa cost me $15 total for federal and state - and unlike H*R, there was no additional state e-file fees (my situation includes W2, stock sale, retirement, HSA's, etc.). Interface is just as intuitive as H&R or TurboTax.

you don't. they will be separate products and you will be given a key for each. you don't even need to look at the McAfee product.

For other people with multi-state returns, I just found out I can file unlimited states with Jackson Hewitt for $25. I'm planning on doing that next year.

I think I am going to give in and get this so to plan for next year. Not worth saving a few bucks for me.

Also giving up hope on the sub 20 dollar deal as we are already a week into March, going to finally pull the trigger on H&R block so I can get my taxes done.

What was the lowest this went to last year? $20? From looking at my records, I got one for FREE in 2024 (FY 2023) and paid $15 in 2023 (FY 2022).
FREE was directly from H&R Block (via email/online download).
