Nope . You pay $364 only to order it . They will pay you $25 per month for 12 months if you stay with ST at $65 month plan . So you will be paying $40 for that plan . This deal is same as straight talk website .

That's true. If a phone has no sim card tray, it may be unable to switch to the other carrier who may only provide the physical sim card.
There are few US carriers that don't have eSIM these days. It's mostly people who travel internationally and want to pick up a local physical SIM that hate eSIM only devices.

how are you guys liking this phone?
I bought it to tinker with and decided to dump my OnePlus 13 for it and switch back to Apple. I actually rather like the smaller size plus the aspect ratio means I'm not really losing much width, just top and bottom bulk. The camera is good enough for my purposes, the battery doesn't drain rapidly, I get ALL my notifications on time (I would frequently face delays or entirely missing notifications with Android devices since Android 12), the app quality on iOS is better, the modem is better than expected (I've seen 1.2Gbps which is much better than I expected from Apple's first modem and is just fine for my needs), it runs cooler than my recent Android phones, and Microsoft Phone Link shows me ALL of my notifications on my PC whereas it's borderline useless with Android 15 devices because Google hides things it determines to be sensitive (with no option to override it and it affects 2FA codes, a huge reason I want my notifications on my PC). All of my games I played on Android run smoother on it too.
I'll probably upgrade it to a 17 Pro in the fall but for now, I'm quite pleased.

Well Straight Talk changed their policy on April 1st. Mine let me reactivate at a discount 36 bucks. Rather not leave it to chance.

Let's hope it's 60 days of total service and not 60 days of continuous service. Report back in 30 days will ya?

I bought this phone on March 13 and did not open the box yet as I wanted to use it after a month. Do I need to buy second month service now to get this unlocked?

I think your included month of service starts AFTER you open the box and activate it. Then 60 days from that point to get phone unlocked.

With the recent policy change at TotalWireless, do we need to buy additional month of service to unlock with this iphone 16e? This is horrible for customers who had their terms changed after purchase.

That's the word so yes you will most likely need to. People are getting mixed responses. Some FCC complaints have been told they won't unlock and an extra month of service is needed. Some got lucky and got the unlock. I am in the same situation and not sure if I should just buy the cheapest plan and be done with this mess.

Effective Date: April 1, 2025

For all cellphones Activated on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, the cellphone will be remotely unlocked automatically 60 days after paid Activation and 60 days of paid active service.

So we can no longer just use the one month it comes with and now must pay another month for it unlock?

Or we let 16e sit out 1 month and auto unlock?

Thanks.
