The Corsair XENEON FLEX is fantastic for gaming. It has a high 240Hz refresh rate for a smooth gaming experience. Its response time is near-instantaneous, resulting in minimal motion blur, and it also has low input lag for a responsive feel, but it increases at lower refresh rates. It even has FreeSync VRR support and G-SYNC compatibility to reduce screen tearing, and its HDMI 2.1 bandwidth lets you take full advantage of high-end graphics cards and gaming consoles. Lastly, it's a fantastic choice for dark room gaming as it displays deep and inky blacks in the dark, and there isn't any blooming around bright objects either.
A quick scan of the negative Amazon reviews (ignoring the dead pixels and DOA ones), it seems the color reproduction isn't great and the HDR isn't top tier. I think that overall, while it's a cool piece of tech, it's not a great investment unless you really have a need for adjusting the curvature on a regular basis. I can count the number of times I've wanted to adjust the curvature on my ultrawide screen on zero fingers. Also, Corsair isn't really known for their displays, so I would be a little wary of regular display, let alone one so unique. (Their RAM is great, but I've had bad luck with their SSDs.) They obviously don't make the panel, so, if there is a firmware issue, you're less likely to get a fix (hope the OEM makes the fix and hasn't moved on to newer models, then hope Corsair still has staff dedicated to adding their customizations). Still, looks neato.
edit: Oh, and Corsair's iCue software is is so bad I vowed never to get a product that requires it again. If you get this and find a stable version that doesn't spike your CPU to 50% randomly, stick with that version. It's the most inconsistent garbage I've ever used.
I am not a monitor geek but I saw this in Micro Center last summer and put it on my "must have" list because I love the size and dimensions. I bought it on refurb from Corsair for $1000.
It is amazing. I do love the ability to adjust the curvature, as I mostly use it for work and sometimes having my Word documents warped isn't the greatest.
It feels so immersive and gorgeous.
It's also heavy!!
I have nothing but positive things to say, as I have always just had the cheapest 24" dual monitor setup and this is a huge quality of life upgrade.
Any SD'er with experience in this monitor?Price is lowest it's been - unfortunately no CB or CC offers to stack on top that I am aware of.
I've been using this monitor daily for the past 6 months. I had the 49" 1440p Samsung OLED and hated the software but loved the glossy screen and build quality. 45" OLED is the sweet spot for me. I installed the latest firmware when I bought it and haven't had a single issue. I thought I wasn't going to use the bending feature but honestly I did! Every time I want to change my desk setup I can adjust the curvature. You do need a deep desk since the I/O is all at the rear integrated into the stand.

Not saying iCue is good at all (I heavily dislike it too), but don't think relevant here for this monitor, right? On the firmware front, Corsair has released multiple updates to reportedly improve HDR performance for this particular product.

I thought I had read in the reviews that they were updating iCue to handle some monitor settings (does it have RGB accent lights on the back or base?), I could totally be wrong. Now I'm curious...
Just checked, and it looks like they did add monitor support to iCue, but not for this monitor, even though they advertise it. Googled "Corsair Xeneon iCue" and found a bunch of mentions, including this: https://forum.corsair.com/forums/...neon-flex/
Apparently, the only way to update the firmware on some of their monitors is through iCue. And that is something I just learned, so I'm accidentally correct. I think. Maybe. 😀

This article shows that iCue is not needed to update firmware for this particular monitor.

This is the same panel as in the LG OLED non-flex model as far as I can tell. You can find that regularly for under $1000. I use the LG Daily and have for a few years, it's a pretty awesome display with an excellent field of view.
