It's been $800 on and off since last year. Bought it at same price back in June 2024 from Best Buy.

Upgraded from M1 iPad Pro (same size and color) and not much difference in terms of performance.
I'd agree but that's only 11"
The only difference would be support life cycle, for the majority of users. The performance of the iPad Pro M1 is still real good.

I believe I saw Costco list it at $1050 before. Target lists it at $1100.

I like how they're still selling it with apple AI. Even though apple has gone back to the drawing board with there Siri integrated AI.

I'd rather spend $50-100 more and get double the storage and an M4 chip.

Agreed. For same cost I bought used the M1 12.9" iPad Pro with 1TB of storage and cellular connectivity. It looked brand new.

Also, the 1TB and up models have 16GB of RAM. It really does help with Lightroom.

I recently upgraded from the M1 to M4, and you wouldn't believe it, but also no noticeable improvement in performance. What I did immediately notice is the poor color accuracy and "graininess" of the OLED panel. Returned it and will be waiting for the M5.

Was weighting this Ipad Pro versus Ipad air 13 M3. 13 inch screen to reduce eye strain. Will likely go with Ipad Pro as I do not think the processing speed benefit of M3 will be that noticeable. I think the 120 fps in a big screen is noticeable for scrolling and some video games and the Ipad air is 60 fps only.

If you need this size iPad you better get a MacBook Air. The ideal size for a iPad is iPad mini. Even the 11" iPad gets too heavy after an hour or so.

Had Apple made the MB Air with touch screen and removable keyboard, i can see your point. But for now your comparison is short sighted.

Why get a mini when you could put the money into a pro max iPhone?
