I ordered iPhone 14 for $100 on Metro website as adding a second line got shipping email they charge my credit card but the UPS number in the shipping email doesn't go anywhere. Customer service won't help on the phone because I no longer have a Metro phone to receive text sms. Went to local Metro store they were supposed to call the ordering Department but I never heard back from them. Looks like I need to do a credit card dispute. been over a week since I ordered

I've gotten 5 iphones from this deal over the last few weeks, all using Visible numbers. Starting with my 2nd phone order, it would fail on the first attempt to purchase. I tried multiple times, right afterwards, to re-do the purchase process with the same number, but it always failed. So I waited a day, sometimes 2 days, and then it would finally go through, using the same original Visible number that failed the first time. I believe this happened every time for me after the 1st phone purchase. Starting with my 3rd phone purchase, I started following the tip I read here somewhere about waiting 4 to 6 hours to try again. I believe that worked on the 3rd phone purchase. It still took 3 tries I think. But it eventually worked using the same phone number. It seems that you don't necessarily need to wait a full day for the porting process to reset/unlock. For me, I would just wait 4 or 5 hours and then try again, and every time it would eventually work. Not sure if that's the case for everyone, but I never had to change my Visible number or buy another number to complete the purchase. I just had to wait and try again later or the next day.
Edit: You can tell that you're still in the 4 to 6 hour "porting process locked" period because when you enter the phone number to port in on the iPhone product page, usually it will say something like "Yes, this number is eligible to port in" in green text after you enter the phone number. If your purchase failed because of the porting error, then when you go back to the iPhone product page and enter the number there, it will show red text that says something like "This number is not eligible to port in right now" or similar. So once that red text message goes away, and you see the green success message again, then you know the 4 to 6 hours reset/locked period has ended and you can go ahead and try to purchase again with that same port-in number. If you're seeing red text there, then there's no point in trying to purchase again with that number because you know it will fail. I can't remember if it will even let you continue the process after that or not, but either way, once you see the green success text again, then you are eligible to try again. Each of the 5 phone purchases I made took several attempts, sometimes over 2 or 3 days, to get it to work (except for the very first one, which worked on the first try).

Did you use multiple payment methods and shipping addresses? Two of my three orders I had ups shipped to PO Boxes were lost in the mail and UPS tracking info never registered. Impossible to get a hold of any Metro customer support about this

Same shipping address for all 5, but I did add different versions of "Apt. 1" or "Unit 2" for the 2nd address line. I believe I used the same credit card for all 5 purchases. I think I actually tried using a different credit card on either the 3rd or 4th phone purchase, because I thought maybe that would help. But that actually didn't work, and I got it to work using the original credit card again.
Edit: Sorry that happened to you. I would probably file a dispute with my credit card company if they really messed up your orders that badly.

Why are you wasting your time on slickdeals if you can predict the future. Just buy the stocks that will go up in price tomorrow, you will be a millionaire.
Someone's touchy. You're very special if you think assuming a phone, that's gone on sale more times than I can count, is the same as predicting the stock market. What a weird hill to die on.

UPS doesn't deliver to PO Boxes from what I've heard.

I got one free tablet from Metro delivered successfully to my PO box but two pox deliveries failed, so I'm not going to try sending to PO box again. My shipping email from Metro says shipped via UPS but the tracking number is a 26 number USPS number and the USPS tracking info says package not received. Metro customer service regarding this has been abhorrent.

I think it's a good idea to let the visible numbers register for 24h or so. Make a phone call, and then give it a day before trying to port. I think these days it's a good idea to have a visible number on stand-by, or an XR/13 in the drawer when Best Buy calls with a Pixel. ;-)

Was able to add-a-line through cs rep today for $89.11 with tax

Was this over the phone? Regular 1888 Metro 8 phone number? Website won't register my address but phone reps usually won't give me the $35 cheaper extra line fee

This is a deal about a phone. You made a comment without any evidence to back it up that the price of the phone is guaranteed to come down. It in no way contributes to this deal and is no different than trolling where people go and make up stuff that they have no idea if it is true or not.

And yes, it is exactly like the stock market. Just because Metro gave this phone for free once before in no way guarantees they will do it again.

Why don't you just go to every single deal on the slickdeals website and put a comment not to do it because the price is going to come down?

Why though when everyone can also get 1st month of Visible service for $5 after using a $20 off code?
