Edit: You can tell that you're still in the 4 to 6 hour "porting process locked" period because when you enter the phone number to port in on the iPhone product page, usually it will say something like "Yes, this number is eligible to port in" in green text after you enter the phone number. If your purchase failed because of the porting error, then when you go back to the iPhone product page and enter the number there, it will show red text that says something like "This number is not eligible to port in right now" or similar. So once that red text message goes away, and you see the green success message again, then you know the 4 to 6 hours reset/locked period has ended and you can go ahead and try to purchase again with that same port-in number. If you're seeing red text there, then there's no point in trying to purchase again with that number because you know it will fail. I can't remember if it will even let you continue the process after that or not, but either way, once you see the green success text again, then you are eligible to try again. Each of the 5 phone purchases I made took several attempts, sometimes over 2 or 3 days, to get it to work (except for the very first one, which worked on the first try).

Edit: Sorry that happened to you. I would probably file a dispute with my credit card company if they really messed up your orders that badly.

UPS doesn't deliver to PO Boxes from what I've heard.
I got one free tablet from Metro delivered successfully to my PO box but two pox deliveries failed, so I'm not going to try sending to PO box again. My shipping email from Metro says shipped via UPS but the tracking number is a 26 number USPS number and the USPS tracking info says package not received. Metro customer service regarding this has been abhorrent.
Was this over the phone? Regular 1888 Metro 8 phone number? Website won't register my address but phone reps usually won't give me the $35 cheaper extra line fee
And yes, it is exactly like the stock market. Just because Metro gave this phone for free once before in no way guarantees they will do it again.
Why don't you just go to every single deal on the slickdeals website and put a comment not to do it because the price is going to come down?
Update: claimed - thanks!

Why though when everyone can also get 1st month of Visible service for $5 after using a $20 off code?
