These are terrible for lenses. The alcohol will destroy the coating
Exactly! What does Zeiss know about optics and optical coatings anyway? /s

In my experience these are the best wipes for glasses. Zero dust or residue left behind. Cleans well and alcohol dries up fast without streaking. Has never left a scratch in the 10+ years I've been using these. I've also never seen them so cheap! I have a few hundred laying around but couldn't pass this up.

For eyeglasses I use dish soap and warm water every day and isopropanol once a week. Alcohol wipes won't pick up all types of contaminants.

These work well for finger oils and such. If you have any abrasive dust or grains on your glasses then rubbing that with these will just scratch them up over a period of time. I bought a bunch of these in the past and most of them dried out before I could use them, but the ones I did use worked well.

Today, Im to cheap to buy these. i rinse my lenses off in warm water to get rid of abrasive dust and then use a little bit of clear hand soap diluted with water and then wipe off with my cotton t-shirt in the morning

You're going to wear out any coating with alcohol. I just run my glasses under water and use a diluted foaming castille soap. Dab to dry

I'll do the same in public restrooms if there's a non scented foaming soap ๐Ÿงผ and dry them with the hand dryer.

Buying wipes for your glasses and phone is just excessive. Just use a screen protector on your phone and wipe in on your pants

They only make microscope and camera lens. Clearly, they know nothing.

I have been using these for years on my glasses without issues. Alcohol percentage must be low enough that it doesn't cause damage.
Yup, only 40-50% alcohol on these.

I bought a box of these from Costco about 12 years ago and only recently ran out. They were still moist down to the last pack. Used for occasional cleaning of screens and glasses. At that rate, this supply will probably outlast a standard pair of glasses or electronic device.

My fear is if Amazon is putting them on sale, how long has this batch been sitting in their warehouses and how many will dry out before they're needed? At this price though, who cares? I'm in for one. Finally, to save about fifty cents, forget about the subscribe and save. It's not worth the hassle of remembering to cancel, etc

Since when you could not use your Amazon GC balance to pay for your S&S items? Amazon is not treating their own GC as cash. wow...how do they get away with this.
