Just what I needed; thanks, OP. I'm hoping to use one of them to hold a small snow shovel too, but I'll weigh it first to make sure it's under 4 pounds.
I love 3M Command Strip products, especially the Utility Hooks[amazon.com], which I find particularly handy for cable management/hiding wires, and holding coffee glasses or mugs above and around my Keurig.
I'm not sure about the longevity of the adhesive, however, as I've been using them only for a little over a year. I'm kind of worried that in five years or so, everything might come tumbling down. So far, so good though...

I have 3 brooms for which I drilled 2 hooks into the wall that don't work great. For the $ this fits the bill and lowest price on CCC.
