Oxymetazoline hydrochloride is literal magic for a stuffy nose. Works within seconds and lasts all night. Only drawback is you shouldn't use this for more than 3 days consecutively.

I use this stuff only as a last resort when my sinuses are completely blocked and I can't get the sleep I need to recover from a cold. It's sometimes necessary when my cold symptoms are at their worst. Luckily, this is a very rare occurrence for me. It says on the box three days, but the "rebound congestion" is apparent to me after just one use. I can live with that because I can better deal with congestion during the day when I'm not trying to sleep. It's worth it when absolutely necessary, but it's a deal with the devil IMO. Btw, you can still find this stuff at DT last I checked, which I think was last November.

Pharmacist here. This stuff works great, but only use it for 2-3 days and take a break. It can make symptoms worse if overused.

Not a great price for a generic.

I prefer the $1.25 version at Dollar Tree. It's a 0.5oz bottle but you throw it away after 3 days and never use it all.

Or if you really want a 1oz bottle, it's $1.98 at Walmart.

I used this for a few days and my sinuses rebounded like clockwork. The second that it wore off, my sinuses ballooned in my head. Take the warning seriously. Do not take for more than a few days.
