it is press wood so if you're fine with it lasting 5-7 years then it's a good price.

Possibly. I've been getting 15 years or longer from chipboard. Depends how often you move it. I prefer it to wood because I have a bad back, and this is easy to slide back and forth as needed to access behind the unit.

Bought this in dark walnut a couple years ago. Have an 85" TV on it.

Happy with the purchase.

Decent piece. I recommend bolstering the bottom with a piece of wood as moving it once built will lead to it cracking in the middle. Just too long for its own weight (when you move it around anyways).

Maybe you prefer it to MDF?

Real wood furniture (even with plywood panels) is lighter than MDF and easily on par with pressboard furniture, even most hardwoods but especially softer wood like pine/etc. Of course, not something you'd see at these prices.

Once purchased a TV entertainment center that was cardboard with a veneer of wood. What a POS.

Look up modern era furniture. It's a style and a time period. Not the future.

Good deal but the look is okay. I think Ikea's 70" stands look better.

Common TV widths for reference — depending on the TV's leg/stand/mount placement, TV can be wider than stand.

55" TV — 48" width
65" — 57"
75" — 66"
This stand — 70"
85" — 74"
100" — 88"
