I have the 258V (32g ram) version and love it. I'm tempted to send it back and get this version (16G ram) since I paid $1400 for that version.

Great keyboard. Never had any freezes or BSODs with Windows 11 on this one. Occasionally the FN keys stop working until I restart, but hey, its windows, something will go wrong.

Yeah, almost $500 for 16GB extra RAM is even worse than Apple's ridiculous upgrade pricing, especially when the 258V is exactly the same as the 256V except for the RAM.

If it were me, I'd return and get this unless you really need 32GB RAM for what you do.

Oh man I just ordered the slim 7x 14.5" Might get this one instead for the larger screen

Does this open 180 degrees? The 7x does not.

The Slim 7x open-box deal or a different deal? There's so many it's hard to keep track of.

In any case, the display on this 7i Aura Edition is not OLED, but it's darn close. It also has 120Hz refresh vs 90Hz on the Slim 7x. Of course, compatibility will be better with this 7i, too.

I have this one and of all the laptops I have (I know, I know...) I chose the 7i Aura Edition as my "daily driver" laptop. My other laptops are OLED 3K but I found with some tweaks to the Intel Graphics Display properties, this IPS panel can look very similar to my OLED's, at least as far as productivity apps go.

If you get this, make sure to download the Intel Driver and Support Assistant to keep your WIFI/BT/Video drivers up to date. Intel is improving them on a frequent basis.
