I know Sports Night is a Sorkin series. Anyone know if it's good?
Excellent! I'm a big Sorkin fan. The first couple of episodes are a little campy with the occasional laugh track, but (thankfully) it goes away. Just started rewatching it last weekend.
When it came out, I think one of the tag lines was something like:
"It's about sports, like Charlie's Angels is about law enforcement".

Sports Night is absolutely excellent. I have it on DVD and streaming and I've watched it at least a half a dozen times. It's Sorkin's best, IMO, and an absolutely wonderful show. Just be prepared to watch it with your full attention, as it moves fast and you'll miss a lot of humor if you aren't paying attention.
It's a real shame it didn't get a little more time to really bloom. Worse yet is the "almost" opportunity. When ABC cancelled it, HBO (and others) wanted to pick it up and HBO even wanted to expand it to an hour. Unfortunately, that was right when West Wing took off and Sorkin didn't think he could manage both shows, so he stuck with West Wing. I can only imagine what they could have done with the content freedom from someone like HBO.

Sports Night is an excellent dramedy, before shows became known as dramedies. I recall ABC couldn't figure out if it was comedy or drama show and hence didn't know how to market it and ended up cancelling it. I honestly can't recall the last time I watched an ABC show this decade.
