Wish they had 6lb. I have a couple micro rods that could use new line.

I'm pretty sure anything braid is going to be way stronger than my lil' ultralight trunk rod.

The other is kid #2's Dock Demon, so that one's a spincast. I wouldn't give him anything braid to fish with because he's an inexperienced youngster. If I'm going to untangle and re-rig a rod, mono is much faster for me to work with.

Use the right tool for the right job. The right tool in this use case is cheap mono. Wink

Got fooled by their fluorocarbon deal months ago. Hesitant to hedge bets on Kastking's lines again :[

I've had no problems with Kastking line except some of them losing their color pretty quickly (especially their braid). Doesn't really bother me though as long as the strength is accurate. Have had no bad breaks and the price is right.

I was shocked when my yellow braid came out of the water beige after the first cast. No issues otherwise but it's like as soon as it got wet the color just rinsed off. Curious if this does the same as I bought the yellow mono.

Who cares if 6lb braid is stronger than an ultralight trunk rod? You don't have to pull hard enough to break something.

My tires are rated for 112 mph, I'm not refusing to buy them because I don't plan on ever exceeding triple digits.

Buy what you want, but posting your logic is confusing.

Well if you buy an engine that's stronger than your car frame and promise not to use the power….

If the wire is too strong and you lock down drag a large fish, the rod can get damaged due to the force…. Lighter wire would break the wire and spare the rod …. Hope that helps
