Southern California residents, looks like this qualifies for 200.00 rebate from aqmd.gov, if you trade in a working gas powered trimer.

I just purchased this and will update if the rebate goes through. I would luv to pay 79.00 for this set.

Battery? No. Return the non-string trimmer tool? Yes. The best option would be the hedge trimmer.

The price goes up a bit buying just the trimmer with a "free" item offer added. That way it's $300. With the edger, the string trimmer portion (with battery and charger) is $213.88. With the hedge trimmer, the string trimmer portion is $187.03. I really hate giving this "advice" but there's your options.

Nope. It's part of one sku number
The Forge 8.0 batteries aren't hard to sell, but this trimmer isn't to its full potential with a regular xc battery .
Just get a Hercules or ryobi if cost is the issue.

I have this, the dewalt flexvolt 60v and the ego 17" 56v with universal attachment and the Milwaukee is quite a bit weaker.

You can separately add the items into your cart or find the trimmer+battery landing page that has the option to 'add free tool'.
Doing it this way the items will be broken down and itemized in cart for return of separate pieces.

Great deal especially if you qualify for the 10% Mil/Vet discount. I've always liked the Qik-Loc idea where different tools can work w/one motor. Great entry into the M18 system as well. Now to wait for the pole saw to go on a daily special.

Intend to buy and keep. Edger or hedge trimmer, which makes a better deal?

Are you using the milwaukee with Forge batteries? Supposedly that makes a big difference compared to XC or HO batteries

I believe this is the newer model? How much more powerful than the old one, I have no idea.

I just want to sound off on how awesome and useful this tool has been for me in conjunction with the power brush attachment. It's so useful to quickly clean a patio very well, and ready for a pressure wash. I thought maybe I was overspending, but after a few uses it was so worth it for me. From my experience, 10/10 would buy again.

I have heard of folks using it in the snow to push snow out of the way, but I think that might get a bit messy and I'd rather use a snowblower for that. For small brushed walkways it's probably great in snow though.
