Just my personal experience, YMMV. The local REI RESupply store outside of Philly has the worst garbage I've ever seen my entire life.... shirts with holes, shoes with mud and soles worn to the foam, pants with brown stains. I would even dare to say that Salvation Army has better quality stuff than REI ReSupply. Worst of all, you get a pathetic 20-30% off brand new MSRP for junk that should've gone to the trash. Yes I know re-use stuff is cool but it's a solid NO for me to wear sweat stained cloth for almost new prices.

Do you mean the Plymouth Meeting one? I have found some decent stuff in the back of the KOP one.

Edit: Also noting that the pricing on REI used items is odd. Sometimes heavily used items are near retail when like-new are heavily discounted.

Both, I went around Jan this year. It's a glorified thrift store with worse stuff at exuberant prices. Also I agree with you their pricing is wild, not reflective of condition at all.

Not sure if it's related to the link on this deal but my account was compromised after following it to REI through this site today.

Can I use this coupon multiple times? If so, I will buy a $500 gift card as I need to buy several Thule roof fittings.

I'm curious about this too. It used to be you could do separate online orders and you could apply the coupon each time but not sure if they closed that loophole yet.

I just placed two separate orders online, both with 20% off applied. So it actually works with multiple orders.

REI members also get a 20% off coupon for 1 regularly priced item.. sign in then add something to cart, the coupon will appear if the discount works. Bought a pair of on cloud with the 20% off.

Anything worth getting around $30? Signed up for the Co pp membership couple weeks ago when they were running a promo in store where it came with a giftcard that expires next week. Seemed like a decent deal, $30 gift card for new members.

I agree Plymouth Meeting's REI can be a crapshoot, but I've scored a lot at that store. In the past 2 years I picked up:
  1. Thule Motion XT XXL for $550 (normally $1050). Had a couple scratches on top.
  2. Thule T2 XTR bike rack for $350 (normally $800)
  3. Kuat NV 2.0 bike rack for $350 (normally $900). This was new and I think maybe mispriced in Re/Supply.
  4. Yakima Exo system (5 pieces negotiated down to $900 and then was able to use the 20% coupon bringing it to $720+ tax). If I had paid retail this setup would have been $2761.30 (and would have required REI charge me $465 in oversized shipping charges since they don't normally stock this).
    1. Exo Swingbase (normally $589)
    2. 2 Exo Gear lockers (normally $529 each, $1058 total)
    3. Exo Top Shelf (normally $459)
    4. Exo DoubleUp 2 Bike Hitch Rack (normally $499)
  5. An Old Town canoe (damaged gunnel but still water worthy) - $150 (normally $1500) I ended up selling this to someone for $300.
I realize that having a hitch and Thule roof rack makes it easier for to find things that most people can't use, but there is definitely decent stuff at both Plymouth Meeting and King of Prussia if you're persistent.

Ever since REI started taking trade-ins even if you didn't buy it there, the stores around here are overflowing with Re/Supply stuff. A lot of the stuff is not current, picked up a vintage Patagonia jacket last month - it had the old logo.

The Seattle flagship store has so much Re/Supply that they've opened up the staff meeting room and put a bunch of stuff there. Picked up a Mountain Hardware vest (reg. $85 & not current style - a trade-in) for $16 after the 20% coupon.
