Called into T-Mobile today because I got a text saying my plan is increasing by $5/line since my older T-Mobile One plan has been the same price for 8 years. The rep told me that there is a targeted offer available to some older plans that started today 3/13/25. Bring your own device and get a free line. I had to pay $10 for a sim card, but they were able to credit me $10 to my account.

Worth a try to call in if you have an older plan. YMMV.

Have the offer in my app and planning to add this - how are people planning to utilize this free line? Saving it for a future phone (kids)? Can you transfer an existing line/number that is not free to it?
add the free line.
i would wait 1 billing cycle, to make sure your new free line shows up as FREE.
then cancel one of your paid line, AFTER ONE YEAR.
each account much have a minimum of 2 paid lines, or else, you have to pay for all of your free lines.
you cannot add new free voice lines, if you cancel a voice line in the past 90 days.
if you canceled a voice line, more than 90 days ago, then you can add the free voice line.

Wish I could add this myself online as opposed to calling. I don't need the line but I have T-Mobile Home Internet and thought about throwing this in SIM slot 2 on my GL-X3000. Fiber is getting close in my area and instead of keeping home Internet as a fallback to fiber when it gets here I could cancel the home Internet and keep this free line as the backup, saving $30 per month. Decisions, decisions.

I called 30 mins ago and the rep added it, but I'm not sure if they did it correctly. Didn't receive a text message like others saying I'll receive a "line discount ID250259". How long did that take for others to receive it?

Also, under this website: https://www.t-mobile.com/account/...ons/active on Service Promos, I don't see ID250259 listed and applied to the new number that was added. Maybe just need to wait for it to show up.

I have a Sprint Kickstart v2 plan from years ago and had no issue adding this.
I'm on Kickstart, I think it's v2. Opened around 2019. Sprint gave us a Line On Us around 2020, then I contacted T-Mobile during the merger and got it changed to TI. So we're paying $30 total for two lines.

The free line offer is showing in Tlife. Will they let us have one paid and two free lines, or is this going to be an attempt to sell a pair of lines BOGO?

Also concerned this may undo our price guarantee? Wasn't there a rule that said accounts with no changes after Jan 2024 would never see a price hike?

Anyone try adding the line yourself in the app and getting the promotion?

Anyone remember how going to 'account' on T-Mobile's website gave an estimate of your plan price with all the discounts? I saw they updated the website and can't see it anymore. Is there a way to see that view?

I have the same plan. I checked the Tlife, but no banner. Did you call in to get the free line? I have only one line in my account. Thanks!

I'm on Magenta Max with 10 lines. Six of my 10 lines are free. This didn't show up on my primary line (nor the first four that I checked), but one of the other family members on my plan got it in the app. So I called. Rep saw that I already have 6 free lines and she said that the system won't allow adding another if you already have more than 3 free lines.

Since some have reported success, I might try to HUCA a time or two, though I also don't want to chance that a rep manages to screw up my existing discounts since right now I have six free lines and the 20% off "Insider Hookup" of a couple of years ago, so I'm getting an outrageous deal already. Still wouldn't mind another free line if I could get it, but don't want to push too hard and screw up a good thing.
