Called into T-Mobile today because I got a text saying my plan is increasing by $5/line since my older T-Mobile One plan has been the same price for 8 years. The rep told me that there is a targeted offer available to some older plans that started today 3/13/25. Bring your own device and get a free line. I had to pay $10 for a sim card, but they were able to credit me $10 to my account.

Worth a try to call in if you have an older plan. YMMV.

For those of you getting reps to supposedly add the free line... Watch your account like a hawk. Many reps will tell you it's added when system does not. Been through this before

Just got the free line on a SC plan. This would be the 7th free on my account so if any rep says you can't have more than 2 it's total bogus.

If you add the free line over the phone, the reps HAVE TO read you some legal stuff before adding. Make sure you re-emphasize that by adding this line, your XXX plan will not be affected or changed as a result. This way, you are somewhat covered.

I was a migrated Sprint Kickstart $25 plan custeromer, migrated to Tmo sims ASAP, added a free line when it was available before years ago. Have the free line offer in the app but when I called in the phone number listed, and 611 plus went to the store, they said I couldn't get it as I needed two paid lines.

I saw the offer the other day in the T Life app and now it's gone. But I never got the price hike text. I'm on T-Mobile one amplified plan.
i don't need the line but i rather not have a price increase. So if i never got the text I don't want to "poke the bear" just to get a free line and get subjected to a price increase when i have like 5 lines

Even though I only have 10 lines on my Tmo Magenta Max, I also have lines on my old Sprint account (two lines) and thus, I'm maxed out of voice lines due the merger. (Maxed at 12 lines on MM accts).

" As of March 15, 2025, the T-Mobile and Sprint merger is fully completed, with the Sprint brand and network integrated into T-Mobile, and T-Mobile customers can now have up to 12 lines on certain plans, with a credit check required."

Tmo experts says the system gathered and detected all accounts.

A $5 per line increase is expected to boot in April.

Bah…!!!

for those receiving the text with discount code, did you do esims or physical? It's been over 5 hrs and all I got was the order of the Physical SIMs. Nothing about new line but did receive an email about a new service agreement. My assumption is the line is not activate until you activate the sims to get the text or when the sims is shipped.
It's been over 24 hours for me and all I got were emails about Service Agreement and the SIM being shipped. Account page doesn't show the new line nor have I gotten any texts about the line or the discount. Have you had any updates since your post?

No text that my price is going up again ($5/line increase last year), but I've never been able to get a free line on my ONE All In plan. Hopefully I won't get hosed with an increase and no free line… again.

I was able to get the deal. I had an old ONE plan. With two free lines already. I tried calling first. They first said I qualified but when the agent looked at my details they said I didn't since I already had two free lines. They tried to upsell me to a BOGO promotion so I declined.
So I used the TLife app and chatted with an agent. That worked and they were able to credit me the SIM card fee. I had to ask for the credit since they didn't offer it right away.
