Called into T-Mobile today because I got a text saying my plan is increasing by $5/line since my older T-Mobile One plan has been the same price for 8 years. The rep told me that there is a targeted offer available to some older plans that started today 3/13/25. Bring your own device and get a free line. I had to pay $10 for a sim card, but they were able to credit me $10 to my account.

Worth a try to call in if you have an older plan. YMMV.

See your T-Life app for the offer details/limitations. Offer ends soon!!!
T-Life app says must call, so likely NOT available in store.

This androidauthority was the only webiste I could find to be able to provide a website to post this deal, as required by "deal URL".

I just wanted to pop in and give an update.

Magenta Max 2 paid, 1 free, 1 digits, Home Internet.

Tile for free line appeared in T-Life app.

Instead of calling or chatting, added new BYOD via T-Life, physical sim.

$0 out of pocket, SIM arrived today. Put it in a spare unlocked iPhone 6S Plus.

Viewing Account > Cost Summary on T-Mobile website via web browser I see "$30 Line Discount ID250259 (Additional Lines)" Nice!

Now I have Magenta Max 2 paid, 2 free, 1 digits, Home Internet.

Credit goes to the posters who mentioned T-Force Reps said to add the BYOD line in the app yourself which sidesteps fees and activation charges while triggering the discount automatically. It worked for me.

Hope this helps someone like me who doesn't care to call or chat with T-Mobile.
Great contribution. Added to the wiki.

I called...even though I qualify, I have max number of lines, so can't actually take advantage unless I upgrade to a new more expensive plan. No thanks

It did work for me. Paid $10 activation fee. Will need to pay monthly fees for the line on top of it.

What's the max number of lines? I got this... Now I'm at 4 paid voice lines and 7 free voice lines...

credits will stop if you cancel any lines or change plans. So I can't cancel paid lines after one year later?

How many lines do you have? Which plan/SOC?

Just got off TLife chat and was able to add a free line to my 2 paid AU Sprint plans, no additional free lines. Was assured that no changes to my plan would occur. Did not have a phone on me, so they were going to send a SIM. Could not get $10 activation fee waived. Could only redeem one free line as I asked about an additional line since I had 2 paid lines.

I did not have the text or banner indicating I was eligible, but was notified of the price increase.

The email took about 30 min for me.

What did the email say? Did it say the new line is free?

This is the way it has always worked. All free line offers for years have required two paid lines minimum.

There are some people with 10 free lines, 2 paid.
I did not know this.. Wish I would've known this years ago

I took a gamble. Called 611 and asked for the free line and mentioned the promo id. The rep spent 4 minutes checking the promo id and told me I qualified. (Simple Choice 4 Family Plan). Paid $10+tax and having a pSIM shipped to me.

Currently have 4 lines + 1 free ($100+tax)

I really don't trust these reps from previous experiences. But let's see what happens.
