Called into T-Mobile today because I got a text saying my plan is increasing by $5/line since my older T-Mobile One plan has been the same price for 8 years. The rep told me that there is a targeted offer available to some older plans that started today 3/13/25. Bring your own device and get a free line. I had to pay $10 for a sim card, but they were able to credit me $10 to my account.

Worth a try to call in if you have an older plan. YMMV.

Has anyone not had the promo show up until after the current bill cycle ended? That's what the rep is suggesting will happen with my acct. I don't trust them. I got the app banner displaying I qualified, as well as a text message about qualifying for the free line. They're insisting it'll kick in once my current bill cycle ends.

I wouldn't trust them. The last two times I got free lines applied to my account, the number showed up within 24 hours and the promo code showed up within 48. The one time I failed to get a free line, I waited 3 days for the promo to appear, and when it still didn't, I promptly cancelled the line.

I don't trust them lol. I went back on chat and the 2nd person promised everything was fine and nothing to worry about. I have all the chats saved, the advertisement in the T-mobile app for the free line, as well as the text about getting the free line. Think I'm safe?

I have been tracking my plan price before and after the price increase and after the addition of the free line. I noticed that it was showing a $45 increase(9 lines) and now $50 (with 10 lines). This makes me think that perhaps all of the free lines won't be free after all; they would be $5 each. In other words, the free line $30 discount would remain the same, while the line cost would become $35.

If you go to your TLife app and click on "view promotions" your line should appear in there.

I checked earlier when this thread was started but didn't see it in my T-mobile app but it shows up now. I do have an existing BOGO line and a free line so I'd think I wouldn't qualify based on the terms here unless the GO from BOGO doesn't count as a free line. I don't need another line right now but it's hard to pass up and I did just do a 12 mini trade in for a 16e so plan to stick around for at least two years.

I know that you have wait a bit before canceling other lines or making other changes for the free line to become permanent. Does anyone know how a standalone Apple Watch line fits in here? If we give my son this additional line would canceling his Apple Watch line cause use to loose the free line?

Yes I was deny the free line since I already have 3 free lines. I went to the T-Mobile store afterwards and they just added me the free line without hassle

I checked with T-Mobile, I am not eligible. I already have 4 free lines on Go 5G Plus.

Be careful with those free line deals. That's exactly why I left tmobile about 6 months ago. They applied the promo, told me I was eligible, and then kept charging me for months. After wasting countless hours trying to fix it, their T-Force support finally admitted I wasn't eligible in the first place. Once I got the credit sorted, I was done. That was the last straw after years of them not honoring their offers and messing things up. Prior they discontinued my legacy plan, and I was like, screw this, so I left after being a customer for 8 years. Best decision I've made. Now I have better reception and pay 35% less than I did with Tmobile.

Received SIM kit, plugged into phone and fired right up. Logged into mytmo and see the code properly reflected in my plan, which was updated from One TI 8 line to 9+ lines perfectly, all promos retained. EXCEPT for the new line...no One Plus Promo, nor Kickback are listed or selectable under line management, like they are for all other lines. I guess I have to chat back on X to get those added. Was there a limit on Kickbacks? Max $? Cheers
Wait, are you saying free line also has kickback? I only get kb on my 4 original lines, all other lines they never added including the BOGO. BTW, I got 3 LOU, 1 Bogo, & just recent BYOD.

Well I screenshot the app advertisement I received and also saved the text promotion. I went through this about a year ago with a similar promo. After countless hours with t-force going back and fourth, they finally admitted they fked up and said I didn't qualify. They credited me a one time credit covering a whole year of service for the alleged free line. I still use that line as we gave it to a family member. I'm positive I'm about to go through the same exact thing, but we'll see.
