Since you are working with an agent / person, everything is YMMV. My $10 DCC was waived and the agent didn't care that I have 2+ free lines already. First step is to check your T-life app to see if you qualify.
Main thread on T-mobile subreddit. [reddit.com] Refer to it for more / current info. Some redditors have complained that some agents declined them because they had 2+ free lines already. Some redditors have success trying again on 833-579-2248, 611, chat, or T-Force. Since there is a bit of YMMV with the agent, be kind and nice, and try again somewhere else if you get rejected. Of course, some redditors are trying to get the free line even though their T-life doesn't show the offer (huge YMMV).
Yes, T-mobile did another round of price hikes today for existing plans. Check your text messages of your primary line to see if you will be affected starting April 2nd.
If you don't see the offer on your T-Life app homepage but you see offers like 25% off accessories, save $100 on Harman, SyncUp Drive, etc., try pulling down on the app to refresh the page / offers. If you have multiple lines, try looking on the other lines. The free line offer was only found on one of my lines (main line) T-Life app.
Even without the free line offer, you can still try your luck through 611, chat, or T-Force. Though you run the risk of the system not applying the free line promotion even if the agent agrees to add it.

If you tap the See Full Terms in the T-Life app, it clearly states " Free new line for qualifying existing accounts with 2+ voice lines on a family plan and a max of 2 current free lines"
With monthly bill credits. Subject to change.
Free new line for qualifying existing accounts with 2+ voice lines on a family plan and a max of 2 current free lines. Plus taxes & fees for accounts paying for a T-Mobile wireless line with additional taxes & fees; monthly Regulatory Programs (RPF) & Telco Recovery Fee (TRF) totaling $3.49 per voice line ($0.50 for RPF & $2.99 for TRF) applies; taxes/fees approx. 4-38% of bill. Qualifying credit and regular-rate, Unlimited, Unlimited Freedom, Magenta, Magenta Max, Magenta Amplified, Magenta Plus, One, Simple Choice, Everything, My Way, Sprint Max, One, or Sprint Unlimited plan required. If you have cancelled lines in past 90 days, you may need to reactivate them first. Credits may take up to 2 bill cycles; credits will stop if you cancel any lines or change plans. $10 device connection charge due at sale. Limit 1/account. Not combinable with some offers or discounts, including other service discounts, device offers, or Price Lock; choosing free line gives up access to Go5G Plus or Go5G Next device offer features for this line only. See rep for details.

Found some more info on promo ID250259 from my account data on T-mobile.com. There is more info available, but not really useful to anyone without T-mobile VPN access or code dictionary.
Name: Line Discount ID250259
Start Date: 2025-03-13
End Date: 2025-03-26 (Old)
End Date: 2025-03-31 (Old)
End Date: 2025-04-10 (New)
Initiation Date: 2025-03-17
So this promotion ends on the 26th (Now 10th). T-mobile also tracks the promotion initiation date, which was the 17th for me (date that the line was created, several days after I ordered the physical SIM).
If you are getting this promotion close to the end date 26th (Now 31st), order with ESIM activation. With physical SIM, you are risking your promotion initiation date starting after the promotion end date. Not sure if the system cares, but it tracks the dates so why risk it. You can always convert your ESIM to physical SIM later.

CoffeePleeze
I just wanted to pop in and give an update.
Magenta Max 2 paid, 1 free, 1 digits, Home Internet.
Tile for free line appeared in T-Life app.
Instead of calling or chatting, added new BYOD via T-Life, physical sim.
$0 out of pocket, SIM arrived today. Put it in a spare unlocked iPhone 6S Plus.
Viewing Account > Cost Summary on T-Mobile website via web browser I see "$30 Line Discount ID250259 (Additional Lines)" Nice!
Now I have Magenta Max 2 paid, 2 free, 1 digits, Home Internet.
Credit goes to the posters who mentioned T-Force Reps said to add the BYOD line in the app yourself which sidesteps fees and activation charges while triggering the discount automatically. It worked for me.
Hope this helps someone like me who doesn't care to call or chat with T-Mobile.

Anyway... One thing that's annoyed me for years and now with this increase even more...is when I qualify for kickback on one line (never got to 2) my bill only goes from 80 to 72... I thought it was $10 kickback? I want my $2!
But the good sign is I receive this text right away after activation
T-Mobile: Congrats on your new discount! You will receive your Line Discount ID250259 as long as you maintain eligibility. Visit t-mo.co/Promo1 for account details and more info.
They didn't mention anything about $10 or $25 activation fee… i guess they will probably charge it and I will have to call back and hopefully they would waive it
I have hookup obvi bc of the $80 pp.
I have hookup obvi bc of the $80 pp.
I have hookup obvi bc of the $80 pp.
You have hookup. 20% off $10 is….?
The order of discounts is Kickback first, then Insider, then free lines. If Kickback takes off $10, your Insider is going to be 20% less (=$2) than before.
Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank ouloat
I have 2 paid and now with this promo, 4 free lines on my One account.
In the past when I got a free line, I will ask them to add the OnePlus (which gives 10GB hostspot) and Kickback to the free lines. So far, I got Kickback on 2 free lines and not on the other 2, even though they tell me that have added this. Same thing happened on Friday, he told me he added OnePlus and KB on the latest free line but I only see OnePlus an no KB.
I didnt put too much effort into getting KB on to the remaining 2 lines as I never got the $10 credit from any of the 2 free lines that already have KB. So my question is, is there any benefit in trying to get KB on those 2 free lines that dont have it.
On the 2 paid lines that have kickback, those are the primary lines for me and my wife. What I do is put my free line in an old phone and use it as hotspot and not try to use data on my primary line. Thats the only way I can get KB on my main line. Of course, my wife is never going to do that
Is there any easier way to achieve that?
thanks
You can absolutely ask them to add the SOC for KB onto your other lines. Answer below...
I need to ask you though, because it seems to be an impossibility for me to add the KB to my free lines. When was the last time you successfully had KB added "for shits and giggles"? Every single time I call and try, the agent tells me that they can't do it and that they need to forward a request to management, where it's obviously getting denied.
Thank you!
I have found that two scenarios facilitate adding this SOC add-on
1) calling after-hours, when you get Filipino support. They are much more accomodating, so long as it is within their abilities...but many of them dont actually know their systems well. You need to use the jargon of their systems to get them to help you. "I have been trying to add this SOC code for Kickback over the course of several months and it keeps falling off..." for example.
2) You can also use any other non-related issues as a segue to get the code added. For example, when I added my 9th line (back in 2021?), there was an issue where I lost OnePlus Promo from every line. In the midst of my calls to tech support to fix this, I told them to also resolve "other issues" such as kickback being added to my lines...at this point, I only had it on my first six lines...I got it added to two more (not the 9th, sadly) during that call.
3) Do it at the same time as activating a new line (paid, free, whatever). Last spring, there was supposedly a free line that many of us were ineligible for. I was one of the latter, sadly, but when I added the line, in the midst of inquiring about its free status, I told them to also ensure that it had the same SOCs as my other lines. They added everything including KB without issue...too bad I had to cancel the line because it wasnt free!!

I have found CS lenient when it comes to adding the ONE PLUS promo, but not KB.
I have found that, in general, it is absolutely happenstance whether you get an add-on added or not. I had KB added to my first six (paid) lines when the code was already grandfathered, but through many...many...calls, I found out that as long as your plan itself was created when the grandfathered add-on came to be, then you will always be eligible forever...now as to whether a rep will actually take your word for it, thats different!!!

Same. Adding One Plus Promo is a 100% success rate for me. Kickback 0%.

U are probably losing the autopay discount which maxs out at $40/month (8lines)
And since you seem to know a lot.. I have a question.. I used to keep track of all TMobile offers till 2016, thats when I got the first 2 free lines that TMobile offered. Then I stopped following the deals.. and got my other 2 free lines in the last 2 deals (this one and the one previous to that about a year or so ago).
I missed out on a few free lines promos in those years but I also heard about this Insider/Hookup discount that lot of people got. What was the way to get that, do you have to add a line or something like that or could anyone get it?
I guess in the end, I still come out ahead with the free line (which they guaranteed would be free). Still a hassle having to deal with chat over four sessions and probably 8-10 hours.

I couldn't get hookup since I already had service at the time of those promos...and those are for new customers...so can't speak to that.
Regarding KB, I am not sure either, sadly. I initially got KB on my six paid lines in 2017. Then got three free lines through 2020 and 2021. I assumed that I couldn't get them on free lines for the longest time (the reps said that you can't get 10 off for a line that you already have for free). Then I had a major snafu at the beginning of 2023 where the SOC for BOGO (from 2017) fell off. In the midsts of replacing that SOC, they reset everything on the account, and added KB to two of the free lines. That's how I know that it is possible.
I also had KB added to a 'free-not-free' line last winter, but ended up cancelling the line because the line ended up being not free.
Tl;Dr - it is possible, but you need to basically buffer-overflow the reps to adding it
