Called into T-Mobile today because I got a text saying my plan is increasing by $5/line since my older T-Mobile One plan has been the same price for 8 years. The rep told me that there is a targeted offer available to some older plans that started today 3/13/25. Bring your own device and get a free line. I had to pay $10 for a sim card, but they were able to credit me $10 to my account.

Worth a try to call in if you have an older plan. YMMV.

Need to add a friend to take one of my free lines but he's already on his own T-Mobile postpaid. What's the fastest/cheapest way to port him out and then back in to my plan?

I already answered that for you about 20 pages back

Sorry, must've missed it. Does it have to be a non T-Mobile MVNO?

No. Tello works great, only costs $2 and is instant and fully online (vs. having to call someone and request port out PIN etc.)

I just checked my estimated bill for next month. Apparently, this free line isn't really free after all; I'm going to be charged $5/mo for it. When. I got the $5 per line increase notice, I had 4 lines (2 paid, 2 free), so I expected my monthly bill to be $20 more. Because I got the free line notice AFTER the $5 increase notice, I didn't expect this new line to also "increase by $5". I guess I was wrong because now my bill is $25 more. F**k you T-Mobile.
Hopefully they will adjust your free line credit to cover the $5/line increase.
Will have to wait until the next Bill to know for sure.

T-Force has confirmed that free lines will not see the increase as it was the same as last time they did the increase. Their billing system is complicated and all you are seeing is an estimate. It'll work itself out.

I don't see the unlimited on us discount as my other free line when I joined T-Mobile after they converted from Sprint. This is what I see on my bill right now when I signed up a few days ago. The supervisor said that it would take two billing cycles to show but the last supervisor said that it should have shown already?

Anyone who's been consistently denied the offer because you already have 2+ free lines?
Just give them a call late at night (like tonight, for example, Sunday), and ask them if they see the free line in the "segments" part of your account. If they say yes, just tell them that you want them to add it.

First rep said she couldnt. I hung up right then and there, and called back. got someone else, they added it, and even said that the terms "technically" say that I cant have the plan...but that if the computer attaches the promo to the new line (it will tell them during the ordering process, so no mystery there), that it is safe.

TMO lives and dies by this insider information (how many normies even know about these free lines?!)

anyone on 9-12 line old One Plan? I never got a text about $5/line increase last time, or this time. Not complaining, but wondering why.
I am on TIULFM9. ONE Plan with 10 lines (including the free line from here)

No price increase...yet. Neither last year or this year.
Ironically, I have been ready to leave since last year. Most of us on my plan have left to other carriers, but I keep the plan for my elderly parents and sister, and we split the bill. I only do this because the whole plan is so cheap due to all of the KBs.

i called and got a line added. They are shipping physical sim as my old phone doesn't accept esim. They told me, this deal is valid as long as we add a line by today. I am good. Also my other lines qualified for upgrade. But they do trade ins as a bill credit. if you switch to different carrier, we end up losing bill credits and old phone. That being said, iphone 16e is going for $599 without trade in. Is it worse than previous gen base models which were more expensive that time.

is 16e worth $599? Thinking of upgrading by paying full price instead of trade in with bill credits.

So I'm on the SWAC plan with 1 paid and 1 free line currently. Got the notification in the app, called and the rep was very knowledgeable, pulled up my account and was surprised. He say you have 2 promos for free lines, would like both, and of course I said sure...... Did his thing for like 10 min. confirmed nothing to change on SWAC plan and we were all set. Just told him I'm driving and couldn't get my CC info., waived $20. Got email after confirming lines, also surprisingly got the price increase text too! Go figure? Asked for 2 physical sims and confirmed everything once again. Agent said it could take up to 4 days to show in the app. Now have 1 paid SWAC and 3 free lines.......
Did the free lines remain free on your new billing cycle?
