Showing $30 from Walmart and $28.00 from eBay plus eBay has a 3 year Allstate Warranty for $2.99, which is half the price of the Walmart 3 year warranty. Anyone know where to get a good cheap vacuum sealer and the bags?

I have a few thoughts for you:
  1. A lot of people vote based on prior voting, as opposed to thinking for themselves. So when the site prompts for a vote, they just give TU if the post's score is already largely positive and TD if it's negative. In other words, I wouldn't take it personally.
  2. The price for this product has been pretty consistent at $30 so far this year. Does an additional $2 discount catapult a post to the front page? Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

It isn't personal. I think it's a great deal and I'd buy it if I didn't already own an Anova sous vide machine. Mine is actually the original model that my brother bought me from the Anova kickstarter campaign.

I have one but don't bother with it anymore for sous vide. I roll with glass Mason jars and (sometimes) plastic Ziploc bags (air-displacement method). More economical, and frankly, less of a pain in the a$$...

At this price, a second (or even third) sous vide heater seems like a great idea if you want to cook at different temperatures at the same time. Like, one for the fish or chicken, another for the veggies.
