Thanks for your post. It made me Google it. Sodium benzoate has been approved by the FDA, but apparently it can form benzene if exposed to light or high temperatures in the presence of vitamin C for extended periods or when in things like - lemon juice. So we have the ingredients for benzene, and all it needs is time, light, and high temperatures, and the question is do you want to roll a dice on how well Amazon cared for the product and/or how long it has been in stock before they sold it to you. Yeah, I canceled my order.
That's pretty good deal. You can gas up the car while also drinking lemonade
Its not optimal compared to actual lemons but, its worthwhile to have on hand if (ACTUAL REAL) lemons are hard to come by due to "factors out of your control".
Having lemon juice is certainly handy, especially if you use it a lot. That said, this is terrible lemon juice. Spend the extra Dollar or whatever and by Realemon brand. This is one instance where the popular brand name one really IS superior (also better than the other store brands I've tried in the past).
If you believe everything you read, you might have questionable longevity regardless of your diet.
100% lemon juice is a flat out lie. Just look at the ingredients.
In addition to lemon juice:
Filtered Water
Sodium Benzoate
Sodium Bisulfite
Lemon Oil
So, unless they use a different kind of math, you cant use 5 ingredients and be 100% of one of them.
Why I completely agree with you I think what is happening here is that they are exploiting some rounding wizardry, namely if lemon juice is more than 99.5%, which is believable, they can round it up Also concentrate plus water is allowed to count as lemon juice since the same amount of water was removed to make the concentrate. If it didn't have the two preservatives it would actually be a very good buy.
These are all bad. Get real lemons and a handheld lemon squeezer.
Where I am at you don't get 10 lemons for this price (more like 5). And you don't get anywhere near 32oz juice out of 10 lemons. So while I agree with you from price and convenience this is very good.
