I just bought one with a trade in of an old Samsung A8. It was cheaper on the phone app than it was on the website using my computer. The S10 Ultra was $552 and the case/slim keyboard added on was $82. $680 total after tax. The receipt shows a "promo code" but I didn't enter a promo code. The extra "promo code" discount didn't show up under the same account while logged in on the computer, so I don't have an answer as to why it was that cheaper for me. But, I definitely suggest messing around on different platforms and you may run into an extra discount.
What steps did you take? Unable to replicate

I have a feeling he may have gotten an additional $50 off for using the app (There have been many other deals in which purchase through the samsung app has given an extra $50 off a 1st time purchase).

Wish I could have gotten the keyboard case for $82 though as I do plan on using this as a laptop supplement later...

I was tempted to purchase, but Samsung has a terrible site and it kept trying to verify me as a student when I was selecting the government employee discount. Oh well

what kind of verification do they do for "Workplace Offers"?

And it shows $400 for "Other Android Tablet" trade-in. Are there any conditions on that? Like would old junker 7" cheapie tablets work?

EDIT: when I logged into my Samsung account (from my phone and existing Samsung tablet, the price went up to $799.
EDIT2: price goes up when I move to checkout even without logging in. How does one qualify for one of the discount Offers?

This tablet has a lot of benefits over iPad. Expandable memory being a huge plus.

"Androie" can also run a lot of great apps that are not explicitly available to Apple users.
Also it's IP68 rated and has DEX and the pen comes with it and not an extra $100 like ipad

I got the same deal on my .gov account - you might need a new one (insofar as you can get a new .gov or .edu account) as I am not getting the same deal on my .edu account, which I have used to previously buy an SSD - or it could just be some algorithm to incentivise purchase for those waffling about on the app.
