I just picked up the last one from my local b&m. Showed $100 more for delivery or pickup so I finally made it into the store and it was this price at the register. I'd say solid deal considering there's next to no difference between this and the newest version. Thanks OP!

It was for me. Well for the Space Grey. Several stores had Blue but it was $50 more. Space Grey was $200 off.

Significant, no. For most users the base A16 version would be fine. My wife wanted the 13" so Air or Pro are the only options and the cheapest Pro I could find was $850. I have an M1 Pro and prefer the M series chip because it can play several PC/Mac games not available on the base iPad. Like I have Resident Evil 4 & 7, Final Fantasy and Death Stranding. I scored the Air 13" for $599 ($646 after tax and will get 3% back on CC, I wanted to get the extra 5% PayPal rewards but it wouldn't let me pay with PP in store). The wife is gonna be happy with the screen size upgrade.

Thanks for posting this! Showing $499 online and you can see the price drop while in store using the app to $399. As others of stated, 13" was $599 as well.
