Wasn't memory foam kind of trashed back when it first came out still in favor of traditional spring mattresses in terms of feel/comfort/longevity? Is this still the case. Id be more interested in this kind of a bed if I knew that there won't be a permanent indentation of my body in the top after a year lol

Depends on the brand, these have a 365 day trial. I had a cheap signature sleep memory foam mattress off Amazon for several years. I weigh 205 never had any indentations in it. AI says these are very durable for the price. 5-year warranty if not

That one is 13 in, the one at Sam's Club is 12
