As to the cap being the same, as long as it IS the same version yes: the caps are the same and fit and screw on to the same body. BUT make sure you are getting the SAME Zojirushi! I have one smaller one where the cap is a slightly different design and I do NOT like it as much. The top's inner plastic pour spout pops out easily when I clean it. I have not had trouble with it, but I fear it will loosen after cleaning a bit.
And as to price, this is a GOOD price on this 20 oz model and I have NOT seen it on sale like this in quite a while, that's how I ended up with the different version in my stock.
