Motherboard reviews aren't exactly reliable. Lots of people dive in trying to build a PC without a clue what they are doing. I've had my hands on lots of different brands over the years and never seen a bent pin unless I bent it myself on accident. I actually have a prebuilt from nzxt using this motherboard currently and have not had any issues.

FWIW, the OEM is ASRock from what I've read.
I can't seem to find the ASRock equivalent though, would anyone know which board this would be an equivalent to?

Had no idea NZXT made motherboards. I like their cases well enough. How's the quality on these?

Looking at the reviews would lead me to guess not so great. Everything from bent pins, lack of driver support, to straight up missing chips were mentioned. It seems like quite the gamble to me.

in case anyone else is wondering, this was $200 from Dec-Feb on Amazon, and then dropped to $150, $140 and now $120 in the last month.

I have my eye on the AMD version, but this is probably the nicest motherboard I've ever seen.

I have similar issues with deal alerts - a lot of them overlap and SD's notification system isn't sophisticated enough to capture that it's already notified you from one of the overlapping deal alerts.

I agree - I've built systems with at least a half dozen different brands and have never had an issue - I think there a lot of ham-fisted n00b builders out there - it's amazing how many "open box" motherboards are available at my local Microcenter with bent pins, usually on blingy gaming boards which seem to attract novice buyers.

And for the next iteration of this we need little glass windows in the mother board cover so we can see the circuits.

I mean only one of those would be a valid complaint about the motherboard itself. The others are shipping issues.

Bent pins possibly, but both driver support and missing chips would be manufacturer issues, unless the board experienced such abuse as to knock off chips, which would likely have caused other serious damage prior to chips flying off.
