This device is the horizontal sibling of the R36S, hence the letter H in this one's name.

The R36S was widely considered a really good budget handheld. But the longevity of it really isn't know yet as they haven't been out THAT long.

All that said, it's under $30 and mass produced in China. So, take that for what it's worth.

If it breaks in 6 months, I GUARANTEE another handheld better than this will be available for $30, and you'll like have had $30 worth of fun with it.

Edit: to note, I have dozens of handhelds, some budget similar to this, some expensive. The budget ones are all just fine for my use and I have no reason to believe they will fail.

The Anbernic 40xxV and 40xxH are fantastic 4:3 ratio screen devices that will do what you want. The V and H designate vertical and horizontal. Slightly more expensive that this device here, but also much better quality. You can't go wrong with these. There are more expensive 4" screen devices too that will play Gamecube and even some PS2, but those are over $100.

There is also the Trimui Smart Pro for a similar price. It's a great handheld, and is 16:9 wide-screen. That makes Gameboy Advance nicer on it, but it's also slightly larger of a device.
